Often when I look at who is on-line I see members names and "one hiding" Why would a member hide? Tell me to mind my own business if my query is being nosey!

In your profile you can choose whether or not you appear in the members online list. Set the 'Show others my online status' here:

It has lots of uses - some people just prefer not to be listed, or it might be they are at work and don't want to take the chance of being seen online - that sort of thing.
