Hi

Short intro - we have a 40 acre small farm/smallholding in Pembrokeshire, West Wales. We have a flock of Icelandic and Jacob sheep, a few goats, pigs, ducks & chickens, and Icelandic horses. Oh, and rather a lot of cats!

Hi welcome are the Icelandics 5 pace ?  I had friends who bred them, and remember a wonderful day out on a 5 gait pony who had that extra gear.  Cant remember what they called it but never had a ride like it before or since.   Lovely animals.

Yes, they have two additional gaits as well as the usual walk, trot and canter/gallop. Tolt is a 4-beat running walk which is completely smooth for the rider and can be done at speeds of a fast walk up to a fast canter, and flying pace is a 2 beat lateral gait with suspension, used for racing. There's lots more info on our website, http://www.solva-icelandics.co.uk/

Hello from Aberdeenshire, Scotland.

I have a couple of ponies; an old highland mare and a miniature shetland filly.  I also have Hebridean sheep, chickens,  4 dogs and 2 cats.  Would have more but only have 2 acres.

Welcome to the site.

regards
Anna
