Hi all, I am, as title suggests, trying to find a supplier of goslings who might be within manageable driving distance from us - between Aberdeen and Dundee on the coast. We are hoping to establish a flock of geese to fatten for the Christmas market but so far our success rate with hatching eggs has been a bit poor and it seems more sensible to try and source some goslings. But I cannot find any suppliers of anything more than the odd few available sometimes. Does anyone know of a large supplier (not industrial quantities, maybe 50 or so).  I am also trying to find out about means of processing the birds, who does it and what does it cost, as our intended numbers are too small to warrant investing in equipment for plucking etc, but greater than I would choose for hand plucking and trussing! The sums may work too much against us overall but be good to find out...

No idea about a local processor thought. Perhaps someone who does pheasant plucking although they are often busiest around xmas
