Ultrasound scanning
« on: March 04, 2016, 07:02:37 pm »
Hiya all.
Was just wondering if there is anyway that an ultrasound scan would miss fetus..they went to the billy on 7th December. .
I dowsed them and it came back in kid..circling, definite positive,  and when tested on a kid and a goat that's NOT been to a billy,  it stayed still.....confused..

No test is perfect so yes, an ultrasound can miss a foetus but strongly suspect it will be a lot more accurate than dowsing especially as that can be influenced by your expectations of the outcome.

When did you have them ultrasound scanned? It can be hard to scan accurately too early or late in pregnancy.
Also how experienced was the scanner?
I'd trust an experienced scanner at the optimum gestation length over dowsing any day, but an inexperienced scanner or early or too far in kid may be a different story.
