Just wondered if anyone has used glucosamine for their sheep? The vet thinks my 6 year old ewe possibly has arthritis. She's on canidryl  (dog pills for arthritis at the minute) but I asked him about any food supplements I could give her. He suggested glucosamine. I've heard of it and just wondered if anyone had used it with sheep and if it had helped? There seem to be loads of products in my local country store for horses with joint problems, but nothing for sheep! Thank you.

I don't know about giving it to sheep, but it made me depressed when I took it!

If I were to try something along those lines for my livestock (I do not have horses, but look through the equine supplements sometime when thinking about stuff for my goats) I would probably go for devil's claw, turmeric or other natural stuff...

Sorry to hear that Womble! Thanks for your replies! I'll have another look on the horse supplements.
