Weaners wanted: central Scotland
« on: January 15, 2016, 09:26:26 pm »
Hi All,

I'm on the lookout for some rare breed weaners for the freezer.  I've had kune kunes and Tamworths in the past, loved them both, but keen to try something new.  If you have weaners available now or will have some available soon let me know.

Cheers,
Cuddles

You can have first dibs Cuddles, don't worry! (besides, I think they tend to pop out quite a few, once they get going)

The title says 'wearers' which I read as 'weavers'

I assumed it was some quaint scottish dialect word that most other people would understand. So clicked on it merely to expand my vocabulary.

BTW, I also know somebody locally who will have Mangalitsa weaners soon. Not my style though, and we don't really have the climate for air-dried salami in the Central Belt!

Or organize a reverse-auction!?  ;) We *could* get some at any time, as we have everything ready. I'm going to be good though, and wait until monsoon season is over first.

Hi, I've some "mature" weaners, about 17 weeks old available if required? They are TV stars! (about to appear on The Mart BBC 1 Monday nights). I'm near Dufftown.

Andrew - Both the end of April and Saddlebacks sound perfect for us. We'd be looking for two or three.  Could you please give me a shout once they've hatched, and we can have a more serious chat about it?  Cheers!

Hi Pebbles, I tried to PM you the other day but I'm not sure if it worked or if you got it.  I'm definitely interested in taking some of your OSB weaners.
Thanks,
Andy
