Wood burner installation - recommendations?
« on: January 15, 2016, 11:46:12 am »
Not sure where to put this, but thought it might be okay as I'm looking to buy a service! Please move if not appropriate.

Need someone to install a wood burner in Carmarthenshire. Two people have let me down so far. Any recommendations would be most welcome. Thanks.

Liz,

I dont know if you have been let down by fire place specialists but a registered corgi fitter / plumber would be able to fit it if that helps. Sorry, not in your area or I would have recommended someone.

CORGI is for gas fires. You need a HETAS registered installer. You can find installers here

I'm sufficiently internet-savvy to have found the HETAS website, thanks. I was looking for personal recommendations. Otherwise, it's just like sticking a pin in a telephone directory.

Solid fuel services fitted my 5kw multi fuel and i am very happy. DJ Davies is also local to Carmarthenshire and i haven't heard anything bad about them.
