Hatching Eggs Wanted in Aberdeenshire - Hen and Duck
« on: January 02, 2016, 08:34:51 pm »
Sadly my cockerel recently expired. I have his son coming on but he hasn't started to tread the hens yet so I don't have any fertile eggs to put in my incubator. If anyone has any spare please get in touch. Would prefer Welsummers or light Sussex but anything considered. Also some fertile Khaki Campbell or Cayuga Eggs if anyone has them. We are located just outside of Echt.
Thank you for reading

Are you on poultry in Aberdeenshire on facebook, they were talking about hatching eggs today. I personally think it's too early to stick the incy on. Haven't got my breeding pens organised yet. Still too much risk of a powercut.
pygmy goats, gsd, border collie, scots dumpys, cochins, araucanas, shetland ducks and geese,  marrans, and pea fowl in a pear tree.

No, I'm not on facebook unfortunately. I usually hatch at this time of the year and have never had any problems. I've got my indoor pens sorted as it's been too wet to do much outside. Our neighbours dog got loose and dispatched our cockerel and as I say I have a young one coming on but wont be ready till spring I don't think. I'm happy to collect from most places in Aberdeenshire or pay for postage.

Hi, I can provide you with a cockerel if needed. I'm just outside Dufftown.
