Jon, Just start a new thread with the same subject. Then, when somebody comes on and points out we just discussed this, reply "where?  I searched but couldn't find anything!"  ;)

I don't think you can delete a thread unless you are the only person who has posted in it, but I could be wrong.  Have you tried looking at the list of your own posts (Profile -> Show Posts) to see if you can find one that's in the thread in question?

Oh, actually, even better, if it's a thread you started, you can list all your own threads.  Profile -> Show Threads.

(And if it's not a thread you started, you have certainly not deleted it ;))

What Sally said. If you started the topic you are the 'owner' and can delete it at any time, otherwise only mods can delete topics.

If you did delete one of your topics by accident please let me know what it was about and I'll see if I can find it in the backups - it'll take me about 30 minutes to restore a backup and trawl it though, so unless it was *really* important please don't.  :)

Also you can probably find a cached copy of most topics in Google from the public boards (i.e. not from Members Only).

Just remembered what the thread was about.  It was asking whether to buy a plastic or galvanised drinker for sheep and horses.  Thanks for all the answers.  I think we are going down the plastic route because it's marginally cheaper and comes with the ball valve.

Cheers peep.

Job for tomorrow (if the weather holds off), start the handling pen.  Just borrowed a tup and so far only caught 2 or the 4 ewes to put in with him.
