We have for sale this year, 3 young highland bulls. All about 9 months old and well bred (but not registered) - they are suitable for breeding or fattening.
The traditional belief that Highlands take for ever to fatten is a fallacy. If you feed them rubbish, as many do, you will get rubbish. However, if kept on good pasture they will fatten as readily as any other british breed. A few years ago, at Selby Christmas fatstock market we got 2nd prize in the British breeds section for a 24 month old Highland bull fed entirely on grass.
