Hi
We rent some land for our small flock of balwens. Does anyone else out there keep this lovely breed?

Hi,  We moved to Powys nine months ago.  We are planning to have a small number of sheep and are being drawn towards Balwens. Where abouts are you? We are halfway between Welshpool and Machynlleth.

We have a modest flock of Balwens - and we adore them!  Though they are pesky!

No Balwens here, but I spun Balwen for the first time on the recent Tour of British Fleece.   :spin:

Live in a cohousing community with small farm for our own use.  Dairy cows (rearing their own calves for beef), pigs, sheep for meat and fleece, ducks and hens for eggs, veg and fruit growing
