I have just been through the application process, and as said you must justify the benefits to your business, I found getting three quotes very hard as people don't follow up on requests, this is maybe because I live in the west highlands, the form was easier than I thought it would be. If it's a CAGS you will need a SER certificate.
I found the department people very helpful.
