Fridge in a van???
« on: March 25, 2010, 03:03:52 pm »
Hi

does anyone know if it's possible to by an adapter/converter that will let me run a standard "underthe counter" sized firdge from a car/van power outlet?

I've seen a few 12v to 240 adapters, but are they powerful enough to run a domestic appliance from?

Hello Selick  Look on the fridge plate and see how much power it requires Then choose a dc to ac  converter that has a bit greater capacity Try Maplin Electronics or Google DC to AC converters  :farmer:

or you could buy a big Thames Trader.  That's the big beast I learned to drive on - multipoint turns in my uncle's ice cream factory yard.(The Trader was his pride and joy but he let me drive it.) ;D ;D
