hi there i would advise the Halogen bulb type that has a switch for 2 setting
i have 3 of theys lamps and used theam all season for two years and never changed a bulb
you can mist theam with water aswell and the bulb wont blow i know
people who have the large screw in bulb type and any little nock and the bulbs gone and there
not cheap to replace also with this type when the chicks get older you can switch down to a lower
seting but with the large bulb type thats not possible also the ceramic ones are not bad i have 2
of theam aswell there not mad on giving off alot of heat but good because they done emit any light so the chicks
sleep threw the night and awake threw the day which some say they grow more when there sleeping then again they will
sleep with the light of the infra red but not as long as with the ceramic as its total dark
regards
