Salt covered roast chicken

Now Try This No it has not got a salty taste.In a oven proof dish place a 1/2" layer of cooking salt Place your prepared chicken on the salt.Then cover the bird with salt to the top of the dish the whole bird must be covered with at least 1/2" of salt Roast as usual when the cooking time is up Wear a oven proof glove and shake all the hot salt off the rock crack the rock open carefully and remove the salt shell (rock) Inside the shell will be a beautifully cooked moist bird.Why it doesn't taste salty I don't know but it doesn't Try it and see.A TUFF old grouse works good as well ;D :farmer:
