Can anyone suggest an eating place in Perth, not looking for posh nosh, meeting friends who are also unfamiliar with the area

The Italian Corner on Princess Street in Perth is very good.  We were there earlier this year with friends who have been many times.  Parking just over the road and just round the corner from the Court/river front so really easy to find.

There is also the MacDonald Arms at Balbeggie which is a 10min drive out of Perth on the Perth to Forfar road.  We visit there often - good home cooked stuff.

Went to the Toby carvery the other day and it was fine.  Outskirts of Perth, north side of the river. I guess it's On the road to scone palace?
