Christmas Trees!
« on: June 06, 2008, 11:40:54 am »
I know a little early but I'm after some advice....

We have purchased a property with a fair amount of land and will have ponies on the land as well as the couple of sheep we are about to acquire.

However we have one field which contains lots of grass and 250 Christmas Trees, can anyone tell me if the sheep will eat the Christmas trees and if they are poisonous or not - I wouldn't want to cause any ill health to them....

Thanks
Natalie

Make a fortune doing cut/dig your own Xmas tree and then graze it! Don't think they would hurt the sheep BUT they will nibble them and spoil your crop and get caught up in the prickly needles!
