Painted Lady & Hummingbird Hawk Moth

Seen both on the farm this week.  Quite distinctive and very rare for them to get this far west (summer migrants).  Keep a look out!

Lovely  :bfly:   A few years back there was an invasion of Painted Ladies from the continent, even up here, but I rarely see them now.  I have only once seen a Hummingbird Hawk Moth and that was in my son's very sheltered garden on the east coast of Scotland - very exciting

Haven't seen any painted ladies this year but have seen a hummingbird moth 3 or 4 times. Aren't they amazing!
