My usual KISS approach to cooking...
Steam a whoe bunch of beans - runner or french..lots and lots..
When halfway cooked you start up a pan of fried onion rings.. again lots of them ..fry them 'til they start to carmelise at which point you chuck a couple of handfuls of breadcrumbs into the pan.. they'll soak uo all the oil and onion flavour and crisp fast... the rings and crumbs is the topping for a plateful of beans... nowt else needed....mine are steaming right now.
