I'd neglected 3rd brassica planting and started weeding.... That means crawling for us old folk.
The thirstles had got about 4 ft high but were easy to pull and the rest is in loose soil.
I got to the end of the first row and realised........ that my wellies were still at the start :-[

In the days when I could crawl, there were many times that I carefully put my kneeling mat down at the start of the row where it remained while I worked my way along the row wondering why the ground was getting harder. And I wasn't a senior then.
