Dorset Down sheep

I wish to get a few sheep, I have a horse and wish to improve the land and "grow" lambs.
I like Dorset Downs but see very little of them as part of a smallholding set up. Any advice or thoughts... We are on clay but have a yard for the wet times!

Hello Twotwo, I have kept 6 Dorset Down breeding ewes on my 7 acre smallholding for 3 years as well as ponies.
They are friendly, docile, easy to manage sheep that respond well to bucket training. Check the DDSBA website for more information.  Also, lambs are active soon after birth and very cute.
