our pigs have dug massive holes where we keep them when they are in there
rooting about you can just about see the pig!!!
it got me thinking, surely it would have been easier and quicker for soldiers during the
war to have their pigs with them to dig fox holes!

Ah, but have you tried getting them to dig holes where YOU want them ?  ;)

Ours tend to fill them in again, which is good as falling down one in the dark, could prove painful and extremely difficult to clamber out of (being vertically challenged)
