Having just put my 17 year old collie bitch down recently, I could do with another.
I've still got her son, Blue, but he is a real gentleman and lets some of my awkward ewes get away with murder. I think bitches tend to be a bit keener (and also they don't water  my plants!)
Ideally I don't want a pup. Probably something at least 6 months to about 18 months. But it's not written in tablets of stone. I would consider an older dog of 5 or 6 whose owners were giving up, for example.
So, my first thought is to go for a young dog that as a minimum is interested in sheep so I can get some idea of its potential. I don't require anything with a long pedigree of trialling ancestors, just one from a good working background. But all offers will be considered.

 their are gazillions on preloved from pets to working dogs. Sorry about having to have mum PTS. Hope Blue isnt missing her too much.

Sorry about your old girl.  You could try Mainline border collies, Barbara and Vicky Sykes, they run the Freedom of Spirit border collie rescue and also occasionally take in working dogs where the farmer is giving up for whatever reason.  Vicky also trains dogs up so sometimes has part trained in. They are near Bingley West Yorks.

Preloved and Pets4homes are both worth a look but working dogs  are only a handful   ( recently bought one ) ,   their  were some young working bitches for sale in    Yorkshire, you have to troll through many pages

I've trolled many times during the last week through preloved, pets 4 homes etc, and all those with potential are many miles away. Under normal circumstances I'm happy to travel to Lands End or John O Gaunts, but at the moment, due to family  illness I don't want to be too far from home, hence I'm limiting my search to Yorkshire.
Mainline Border Collies is definitely a possibility, as I had Kelly (my old dog) trained by Barbara Sykes, so they're certainly worth a try.
In the meantime, any further leads greatly appreciated.

Keep an eye on the facebook farming groups for your area. There were two older working ones for free on Yorkshire Agricultural Sell & Seek for the other day but they have gone now.

Try these people, I was registered with them for at least 12 years and they were awesome. They sometimes have dogs which are part trained for sale, you could contact them and ask them if they have any. You never know you might get some of my dogs genetics around your way, cause I sold some to Yorkshire years ago. :thinking:
