Does anyone know a supplier of breeding stock for meat production in Scotland we're in Fife but prepared to travel for right animals.

Ideally Nz whites but other options considered...

Looking for 2 does and an unrelated buck...

Hi Bloomer,

I have NZW's

I'm on my second round of litters for this year, they are 22/23 days  old today.

I could give you an unrelated buck and a doe from these youngsters in 3 weeks or so once they're weaned?

I don't breed them till 6 months so ideally it would be the end of November before you could breed them.

I've not got much in the way of breeding stock for sale but I could also spare you a year old doe (pregnant if you'd like) for now, just to get you started?

I have two bucks and four does as breeding stock, wouldn't miss one doe.

Waiting for rabbits to mature for breeding takes a looooong time!!  :excited: so at least you'd have something happening.

the two youngsters would be completely unrelated to each other and to the older doe but if she were pregnant then the father of her kits would be the same father as one of the two youngsters I could give you (that make any sense at all?)  :innocent:

I'm in Ayrshire but travel through to Leven every few weeks.

I also know a chap in Kilmany who has NZW's, he got a buck from me a few years back but it wouldn't be related to this doe, if he still has it he might service your doe or he may even have breeding stock for sale, I'll pm his details.

if not I could bring one of my boys across to Leven with me when on my travels to mate her with until yours mature.

p.s. theres a Facebook group, its not busy but a good few breeders on it.

Yeah be another 3 weeks before they're weaned, I'll try and organise a wee work trip to Leven around that.

Mrs. B give the thumbs up? :)

I'll put the doe back in with the buck next week so she'll be due in 4 weeks, a week after I drop them off to you.
