Hello from London and a question... thank you
« on: February 27, 2010, 05:37:38 pm »
Hello All, I live in London, very new to smallholding, done tons of research over the months via books, magazines, etc... but it’s always grand getting to know those who actually do this personally!
Later on in life, I would very much like to have my own little dwelling...

I figured, a good way to start is...

I know this may not be the right place to post this, but I’m stuck and any assistant/info would be grateful!
I wish to make a video promo on a pig farm, with the band, a bunch of people attached to the band and all these wonderful pigs surrounding them!
I was hoping if anyone would be able to put us up for a day’s filming or if you could point me in the right direction, really excited to get this filmed!

Thank you
A

Hi and welcome,

afraid I can't help especially, but hope you will find someone to help on here. I would post in the Pig section as well.

Do you mean a musical band?  If so, perhaps pig owners may not be keen in case it scares their pigs. Or is this a wind up? ;)
welcome to the forum anyway! ;D

Hi and welcome.

We recently had a mate of mine and a film crew on our land making a new film called Devils Bridge.

They tried to get other locations but were amazed at the price you had to pay to film on some locations that were owned by the council or other private businesses.

As a mate I let them on as a favour and a part as an extra on the set :)

Also hope to get our farm mentioned on the credits.

I am afraid I dont have pigs though so I can be no help to you :)

Thank you for all your kind comments, @ doganjo - oh yes, very serious, lol, I've been a lover of pigs for so long, so I thought that this may be a perfect opportunity, if possible!

@ bazzais – lol... that’s very nice of you, highly interested to know what you do keep?

Thanks again to everyone

I suppose it depends what kind of music your bands play - the pigs might like being serenaded ::) ;D ;D ;D

A local band did this video up the road, Clackmannan is a strange place, the Tower was the home of Rober the Bruces's family and 4 miles away Black adders castle. a ;ot of Black Adders live here stil as Quees Mary was in the Tower in Lochgelly, take a look, an important place in Scottish History, we love it, very raw but with heart!!http://www.clackmannantower.co.uk/saor_patrol.html

Hello and welcome from me in South Lanarkshire  ;D
You're more than welcome to come and serenade my pigs, but unfortunately I've only got 3 Kune Kune's (not really full scale pig farm  ;))
