New litter!

A week later than expected, but my gilt farrowed this morning, 8 born 2 dead :( All feeding well and looking healthy, will post some pics bit later :pig:

Sorry for the 2 dead ones, but 6 good live ones is great.  Congratulations.

She was busy nesting all evening so I checked on her 2 hourly through the night, she was sleeping on her tummy at 6am so I though I'd leave her til 7am, went back at 7 to find them all born! so it was very quick, 1 was buried under the straw at the other end so my gues is she had 1 didn't understand it turned around and it got buried under the straw! the other probably born dead, but yes its her first litter and I was hoping for 6 so I'm chuffed :love:

congratulations dixie  :)  what a shame about the dead ones, but 6 from a first litter is still great.
