It IS going to happen
« on: June 05, 2015, 05:26:34 pm »
At last!! After a year of nail biting, highs and lows and moments of thinking it may never happen Mrs Ghdp and I will move to our piece of land and cottage on Friday!!!! :excited:
Please be kind as I ask all the stupid questions I am bound to raise.

Our holding has Anglo Nubian and British Toggenburg goats, Gotland sheep, Franconian Geese, Blue Swedish ducks, a whole load of mongrel hens and two semi-feral children.

Only a year  :o  We waited many years........

Ask away with the questions - we love 'em all  8)  Truly, I think just about everyone on here would rather someone asked a 'stupid' question than went on without a helpful answer, maybe to the detriment of their livestock or themselves.  We all had to start once, and we all have to learn - you'll never stop learning either - no-one knows it all

Really looking forward to hearing about your new house and land  :farmer:
"Let's not talk about what we can do, but do what we can"

There is NO planet B - what are YOU doing to save our home?

Do something today that your future self will thank you for - plant a tree

Love your soil - it's the lifeblood of your land.

Congratulations  ;D Hope it all goes well for you. We waited a long time to move and had lots of issues along the way  so know how good it feels to be finally doing it!
How many acres how much light
Tucked in the woods and out of sight
Talk to the neighbours and tip my cap
On a little road barely on the map
