Hi, Can anyone help with ideas for feeding paddock grass for horses, have used nitrogen in past but have to keep horses off the grass for at least 2 weeks and can produce over rich grass not too good for grazing. Have been told seaweed type fertilizer is an option, would prefer granulated type product which I can put in a spinner.

Try 16:16:16 (triple 16) they where on about phasing it out, but its good all round stuff, you should keep stock off anyway for 2 weeks min, dont know of a seaweed type, try your local merchant..

Grahame any High n will be good most grass land farms use it Norsk hydro. Used to be a good one called Nitro chalk but its gone along with the Fison manufacturing plant on Immingham Docks

The higher n you put on the more grass you get .There are diffrent types of n to.How not try a slow release which trickel feed the grass mind the soil temp has to be 6deg before you will see any response.ps am a greenkeeper

If you use seeweed, I don't think you need to keep the stock off the land. Nitrogen in high quantites will reduce clover and favour ryegrasses, which aren't great for horses. Calcified seaweed will help pH as well.
