We have been building up our herd of these registered rare breed purely grass fed cattle in Ayrshire since 2011 and with this years' calves have now reached the numbers that we planned to keep. This means that we will have bulls and possibly heifers for sale in the autumn at weaning. We would prefer to see them sold for breeding purebreds as they need protection, but Traditional Hereford bulls are also useful for crossing with dairy heifers or other smaller native breeds, and their progeny are suitable for branded Hereford beef schemes.
Any unsold males will be castrated soon after weaning, therefore it is important to let us know any interest before then. Our males are dehorned, females are not. We are members of the SAC Premium Cattle Health Scheme. Some of our youngsters are by AI bulls from the Rare Breed Survival Trust's semen archive and their genetics are very precious.

Wonderful, I just love traditional Herefords well done on your efforts. Would be great to see them at the smallholders show at Lanark.
