Hi all,

Haven't been around since we moved to our new place back in September 09...six weeks without internet, lots of fencing and rebuilding, moving livestock, buying and collecting additional livestock, Christmas and then SNOW, SNOW, SNOW!!!!

Our first winter in the new place and its been a baptism of fire (well snow anyway)...can't believe how cold its been, but I think we're winning...had a TB test and formal Trading Standards Farm Visit last week...passed both with flying colours...thank the lord (whoever he/she is). Just desperately waiting for Spring to begin.

Took a little time to read through a few threads...good to see the same old tags are still around...and a new word game just started...gee its good to be home...

Hi James,

Glad to say all my Dexters are out in the fields already...although I will be bringing the six cows in for calving in March...we have two Tamworth Sows ready to farrow in three & Five weeks...Two GoS sows farrowing in April & May...twelve sheep in lamb (April/May)...the rest of the livestock, rams, goats and chickens have all settled in well and seem happy and contented. However, since moving here we have lost eight chickens and our three KC ducks...Foxes and Buzzards would you believe! I've had to build a run for the chickens, but the Buzzard(s) took the ducks out of their enclosure one at a time over a period of three months...very sad.

I will try to post some photo's Annie...but bear with me I'm not into all this technical stuff...I'll have to remember where I packed the 'Brownie'.

Thanks...we are still in Staffordshire, but in the North West of the region close to the Cheshire border, I will try and get some pics together soon...gosh its nice to hear from friends!

As you can see I intend making time for TAS...and will be keeping an eye on the posts, ready to add my tuppenceworth when appropriate.

Annie...Stafford is about 20 miles away from where we are and we may even be visiting the show. Are you showing or visiting?
