My flock as a beginner , some Photos of them
« on: May 21, 2015, 11:56:36 am »
So I bought my first sheep last year. first ram too. They are Suffolk/Texel x with some zwarble X too. They are not perfect or very profitable but I am happy with what i Have and have enjoyed every minute of working with them. I aim to improve the standard of my flock through buying top quality Suffolk/Texel replacements and only keeping the very best ewe lambs.
In a few years when my flock is at 50-60 and when I have more experience I will invest in a top quality Ram. Please see my Pics of my ram, sheep and lambs.

Just thought i would share,  It's a nice change from looking advice for sick sheep etc :).

Your sheep look well and you sound in a similar situation as me with my small flock of commercial sheep.

When were your lambs born?

Me too am improving the quality of my Lleyn flock genetics. Last year I bought a ram worth a nice amount and the lambs this year are excellent, am keeping one of the ram lambs back as he looks perfect. :)
