when a hen is broody can this lead to feather loss on bum area?
as said my mother in law thinks this might be, but i neva believe what she says!!
im really sad about this as i keep their house, run, food you name it in tip top condition.
and as i said im there with them everyday and never have seen any pecking.
im  ???

please look at its bum. check for lice.

If it's the bum area, and I mean under the tail, check for lice. Some hens do lose feathers when broody but usually around their necks and breast.
