Another newbie

Hi all, Im now in the process of buying some land in Norfolk and I am hoping to run as a very small smallholding (2.5 acres)

Im planning on keeping aminly rare breed sheep

Im sure ill be asking for loads of advice in the future

We keep mainly pigs but have 2 ewes and a surprise lamb.

Hi and a belated welcome from Staffordshire...Portland are a lovely breed, I have Balwens, Shropshire and Southdown...consider what you want from your animals before you decide on what to buy...some are better for producing meat/wool than others and some breeds are smaller/larger and hardier...if your new to sheep I would suggest you seek advice before spending your money.
