Muck trailer wanted
« on: February 10, 2010, 11:33:59 am »
Hi all, does anyone have a muck trailer for sale in the NW Leicestershire area? I'm near to Ashby de la Zouch. I'm looking for a 3 - 4 ton trailer but I need someone to deliver as I have no tractor of my own. Am desperate as it's one of the planning conditions for keeping my horses here but am not able to afford £2k which is what local tractor dealers want to charge me.. I am willing to pay a reasonable price in cash though. Here's hoping.....thanks!

have you checked out the ads on farmers trader/weekly/guardian? Or gumtree, Horse and Hound etc.   I keep an eye out, for a cheap (as possible!) Livestock trailer.
We have relatives down near Ashby btw

Hi thanks. I do keep looking on eBay and farmers weekly etc. Nothing has come up locally, everything recently has been 100 miles + away and too impractical to tow a farm trailer that far. Can't even get a transporter company interested in getting one for me either. Where are your relatives btw?

Hi Helencus.
I have a trailer that might suit you. It is a 3.5 ton trailer. I have restored it including stripping and repainting all metal work. All wood work has been replaced, floor, side boards, head board and tail board. All timber has been treated for a long life. New electrics fitted. Hydraulics in good working order. I do this as a hobby as well as restoring my tractor so it's not a business. My wife and I have a smallholding so I know what it can be like finding genuine people. I can have it delivered to you early next week. Let me know if you are interested or want photos. £1095 inc delivery.
