My daughter in-law was telling me about this wee shop that is in New Deer not that far from me. They deliver fruit and veg in made up boxes of what is available for the season. Since she started getting their boxes the whole family are eating much more fruit and veg due to the fact it taste so much better. I googled the shop and they sell cheese and other produce so plan to pop in the next time I go that way for animal feed.

I used to get one of these veg box's from a local scheme. It was lovely quality stuff and I ended up trying fruit and veg I had never had before like salsify and chicory.

I can't fault the taste but I ended up cancelling after about 6months. We used to get the biggest fruit and veg box but I found that there was never enough of the basics, 4 Apple's and carrots a week isn't nearly enough for our family of 5 so I was having to go and buy supermarket veg anyway. If there's not many of you I'd recommend them though.

There's a super wee shop does this in the Falkirk area, fruit and veg boxes are £10 but you can specify what you want included, they also sell loads of other food items, steak pies, cheeses, meringues which are delicious, basically any thing they sell can be included in your delivery which is free with a £10 spend. Don't have to be in either to have it delivered I have a safe place for money to be left and box to be left in. I email my order the evening before it's delivered.
