Our 'Barren' ewe has lambed!

Lovely pair of Ewe lambs. Poor things in the middle of a down pour of rain, Extremely cold and Blinking windy!! Cold, wet through and shivering But all full tums!

Of all the places to lamb she had to do it in the worse part of the field for the lambs. Plenty of shelter but NOOO Right in the middle of the field! Could have gone under the trees....

This might sound odd, but do you not find that the jumpers inhibit the ewes natural desire to lick the lambs?

No, The jumpers go on after mothering and after they have been cleaned off. None of The ewes have had problems. they can still lick under the tail and legs and head.

However I wouldn't put one on a lamb that wasn't washed and/or bonded.
