Hullo from Cambridge...

Hullo,

What a fantastic website, and the perfect name, we started with digging over some turf in the lawn, then raised beds made from old pallets, then three chickens  :chook:- Marylin (Monroe), Audrey (Hepburn) and Ginger (Rogers), then bees :bee:, now pigs  :pig:(Sage, Onion & Rosemary) and hoping for ducks soon!

Our only problem at the moment is land as we only really have enough for pigs, chickens and bees, but we are looking at houses so maybe in the future.....

Our three not so little pigs are off after bank holiday Monday, although I am trying to convince Will to let me keep Sage as a breeding sow!

Not sure what else to say so will sign off for now...

Bonjour from thundery France where land is cheap!!   ;D

Thank you  :)

I ordered the tags for the pigs to go to slaughter yesterday, we just have to hope that Sage gets better as she has a bit of joint ill at the moment...

Sage and Onion are large blacks and Rosie is a large black middle / white cross.

They have loved wallowing over the past few days, I made them a lovely muddy patch each morning and they did a kinda weird jumpy piggy dance under the spray of the hose!

They are getting very big now, and Onion has become quite developed!

Ear tags are the next adventure, planned for the bank holiday weekend......

Large black babies are so cute - when you have a litter or get new weaners you must post a pic - would love to see them.

I think it would tip Will over the edge if I kept Sage to be a mummy, I would love to though, maybe in a year or two.... :D

Yep.  We started with Hilary and her brother Hamlet.  We ate Hamlet but Hilary was just too evil to eat.  So we kept her, 4 years later, we maxed out at 11 sows 1 boar and around 50 piglets.  Downsizing before OH keels over.  So be warned Pigs are very, very addictive.  HM
