Twoweek old Puppies!
« on: March 18, 2015, 07:01:58 am »
;D ;D ;D Misty's pups eyes are open and they are starting to try to get on their feet.  She has developed ONE bad habit, which is sleeping on the one side of the whelping bed where the opening is and where there is consequently no pig rail.

They are all putting on weight daily and starting to do solid little poo's.  From Saturday I started enjoying Beddy loveliness again, having being sleeping in a chair with Misty just in case.

So far I have lost none, I was HORRIBLY freaked by the 33% mortality figure in the Book of the Bitch.

Misty is eating, and pooing, for britain.  She is getting through 2 large bowls of food (puppy dry food, a tin of wet food, an egg and a tin of sardines on top for each meal) and there have therefore been a few "accidents".  I have a stone floor so I can cope.

I will update piccies and after the weekend will start advertising.  This week is the week they have their first positive puppy tasks on puppyplan  ;D ;D ;D

I'm enjoying your updates so much, KC!  I've never had the opportunity to breed a bitch, so this is the next best thing for me :)

No detail too small ;)  ;D
Don't listen to the money men - they know the price of everything and the value of nothing

Live in a cohousing community with small farm for our own use.  Dairy cows (rearing their own calves for beef), pigs, sheep for meat and fleece, ducks and hens for eggs, veg and fruit growing
