Hi all!
We had the vet out this morning to see a ewe with a vaginal prolapse. That seems to be under control now but the vet (a young one...) seems to think that the ewe, who is bagged up, has been nursed already and that all her colostrum is gone for good now. She recommended that we buy some colostrum replacer for them the lambs actually do come. I'm rather skeptical of this though, but hey, I didn't go to school for it so what do I know.
Have any of you ever heard of something like this happening? I'm not in the habit of milking my ewes before they lamb so I dont know what the milk should look like prepartum.
Any advice would be appreciated.
Cheers
