I'm not sure where this should go and I'm surprised people aren't talking about it, so maybe they are and I've got this in the wrong place.

Isn't it quite a big deal?  I don't get SPS: the landowner does so it has ever concerned me.  I'm now getting worried though, that he will want me off his land so he can claim BPS as an "active farmer". He has, in fact, retired and lives off the SPS as a pension.

Does anyone understand it enough to know?  I don't have any written agreement, although he promised me an tenancy contract last May, so I'm not a grazing licencee...
