Can anyone recommend any forestry and forestry management books ,gota learn quick !!!

Might I suggest you have a look at the arbtalk forum. They're a friendly bunch I chatted with lots before i bought this small farm with it's several acres of woodland.

Oh I don't know they come down quick enough in this wind !

I second the arbtalk forum.  Very helpful guys and take a look at some of the videos filmed from the high trees they fell. I felt queasy watching on my computer :-[
