The biggest issue with 4wd larger tractors is the very time that 4wd becomes useful is when the ground is wet/slippery, then you will make a very big mess of your land. They cut the ground up a lot more that 2wd. I avoid using the tractor when we have had heavy rain. So far not really needed 4wd on our 'undulating' pastures.

I have an MF250 with a loader. The power steering is essential but it also depends how much you want to lift with the loader.
