i am in need of buying shearing equipment for crutching ewes and for shearing and dressing sheep for shows, anyone have any idea on any inexpensive but good, reliable handpieces? been using hand shears but now have too many, for being at that now.
thank you

I've tried a few battery ones and killed them all in quick order. I have had a pair of plug in Lister Lazers for a few years now (second hand) and they are still working well.

I would say for dressing sheep for shows, you'd still want to clip and dress by hand, but best speak to a suffolk specialist, every breed has their own art!

Am I the only one now imagining a sheep clipped like a sculpted carpet.

my uncle is a suffolk breeder an he uses electric shears for the the backs an bellys as it leaves it cleaner than by hand...
