Come and join us in the woods for carving and a hot lunch. The day is suitable for absolute beginners. Just bring yourself and your enthusiasm! Learn the skills needed to carve a beautiful yet simple butter knife. This course will prepare you for more advanced carving courses.
 
Course will include:
•   An brief intro to the woods and how it’s managed as a nature reserve
•   An introduction to green woodwork and the principles of cleaving
•   Knife safety and basic carving techniques
•   Carving traditional and ‘free style’ butter knives
•   A look at other simple projects
•   Tea, coffee and a hearty lunch cooked over an open fire
All tools will be provided; just bring sturdy footwear and warm waterproofs, just in case.
