Farm sitting or smallholding carers
« on: December 26, 2009, 10:45:23 pm »
Hello, in common with most smallholders I find it very difficult to get away. Does anyone know of a reliable person(s) who would like to look after my smallholding for a week or so. It is based in Oxfordshire. There will be two cows to look after ( just food & water) and about 40 chickens in several enclosures. plus a couple of ponies, two terriers and a cat![color=black  :chook: :chook: :chook: :chook: :cow: :horse: :horse: :cow: :cat: :dog: :dog:

Always have been, always will be, a WYSIWYG - black is black, white is white - no grey in my life! But I'm mellowing in my old age

I am sure there is someone on this site, and have seen them highly recommended on another.  Might be worth doing a search on here?

Would no-one you know do it for you? I know someone who used to farm/smallholding/goat sit, but she has sadly given it up now (not because she didn't make money, but because she met her husband and went to run his pet shop instead).

Hope you find someone.
