Thought I ought to come in and say hello as I've been lurking for months gleening info and 'ooing' and 'arghing' at at all your posts.
My family live in south Shropshire and our smallholding snowballed, a combernation of wanting better quality meat with excellent welfare and father-in-law pining for his farm manager days. Since then we've reared and killed our own lamb, pork, chicken, turkey and geese. We sell homemade jam and chutney at the gate as well as free range eggs and fruit and veg during the summer. This year we started selling our own lamb and pork with very satifing feedback (isn't it always great when people are amazed at how sublime free range, happy piggies taste?)
It's a real family affair from our youngest who's 7 to FIL who's in his 60's.
Looking forward to learning even more for everyone!
