Lifespan of a Muscovy Duck

Our poor old Muscovy drake looks like he's coming to an end  :(

We have been working out how old he is and it looks like he's reached the grand age of 15! We thought that was quite impressive, especially given his size and the distance he travels every day.

Do any of you have older drakes (or ducks) who'd be classed as oaps?

I can't beat that but many years ago had a Muscovy duck, Dolly, who lived for 12 years. Her husband, Hissing Sid, died a week or so later, age unknown. :'( :'(

11 is the oldest Duck we have ever had. She was a Silver appleyard . We do have a Chinese goose that we hand reared and she will be 17 years old in March

Amazing.  They do become part of the place don't they. But just amazing that wildfowl can survive so long and not been killed by predators partic where you are collielaw.

Hope is end is peaceful with his ladies near him.
