Just thought I'd pass this on in case it is useful to anyone. We have a customer base that we can generally rely on but at the moment we are about to send more pigs off than we have in the past.  In order to get more sales I emailed / contacted via facebook all our customers and offered a 10% discount on their order for every new customer they introduced who bought a 1/4 Pig box or more. If they weren't ordering 1/4 pig box themselves they get 3 packs of sausages FoC.

I have 2 customers who have introduced 2 new ones a number introducing a single new one. Overall this has been really successful and we are on the verge of selling out with more potential orders still coming in.

Good thinking! I get in trouble for over selling then panicking in case I don't have enough! Usually works ok as some sod lets me down.
