has anyone ever taken anything out of a skip and re-used it? if so what? we recently had a skip and someone knocked on the door to ask if we would mind them going through it, we said help yourselfs, if they wanted to take things it gave us more skip to fill!! we were tempted to get a coffee table from a skip at the top of the road for the cats (they like to scratch wood!) but when we went to get it someone had beaten us to it!! weve also had builders dumping rubbish / rubble in our skip that was not appreciated!

Only yesterday I had the nice mannie next door ask if I wanted any bricks... when I declined he then asked if he could put them in my skip to which I said "no problem".

After thinking about it I went round to see him about the bricks as I'm thinking I could do some crazy paving or edging with them.  He'd already put some in the skip, but offered to bring the rest round for me... so there I was up to me ankles in mud in ma own skip!!  :D
