Due to various accommodation issues I have to amalgamate my two groups of hens, and my one cockerel is dad to one part of the group. So I would like to replace him when I put the two together and am looking for a cockerel of one of the following breeds (in order of preference).:

French Copper Maran
Cuckoo Maran
Rhode Island Red
Light Sussex

No bantams.
If anyone is coming to Lanark I can collect from there at Smallholder festival, unfortunately won't make it to Lanark for rare breed sale.

I am near St Boswells, Scottish Borders.

hopefully he's growing fast and im 90% but no crowing and still too young for distinct plumage, he just that hint of boy, he's bigger than all the others from the same hatch as well.


i'll keep you in mind for him and offer you first refusal.

Anke,
I have a group of light sussex of about 4 months age and two of them seem to be cockerels and have started crowing, so I would be eating one of them, but you would be welcome to have this one.
